Rationale

Through the exchange of an international focus in Lingling High School, we are able to offer to our children, a range of experiences that will enhance their learning and raise awareness of their national and international identity.

基本思想

通过国际交流活动,为学生营造丰富多彩的学习环境,增强民族和国际身份意识。

 

Purposes

  • To develop a strong awareness of similarities and differences in lifestyles and culture in a range of other countries
  • To develop curiosity about other cultures
  • To enable children, staff and governors to experience daily life and provide communicating changces in other countries
  • To further develop relationships with partner schools with a focus on enriching the school curriculum
  • To promote the communication skills by the use of ICT

目的

  • 深入了解其他国家生活方式及文化的异同
  • 培养学生对外国文化的兴趣
  • 向学生、教师和管理人员提供体验国外生活和交流的机会
  • 以完善校本课程为重点,推进与伙伴学校的合作

  • To develop links with schools in Britain
  • To encourage children and teachers to pay visits each other
  • To encourage interest and motivation through the provision of first hand experiences of life in another country
  • To promote communication with settled themes through writing letters and emails to friends abroad
  • To provide staff with opportunities to compare different teaching and learning styles
  • To raise awareness and appreciation of other environments and what is happening in the world
  • To develop cross-curricular activities with an hot issue for all children

This policy will be continually evaluated as part of the annual review process of International School Award Application. It will also be reviewed under our school committee.  A statement of evaluation will also appear in our annual School Development Plan.

International Dimension Co-ordinator: Liqin Yao (Cathy Yao)

The International Dimension Co-ordinator will promote International Awareness throughout the school, the wider school community and the local community.

 

This will be achieved by:

 

  • To arrange international activities within the school
  • To Invite visitors from other countries into school
  • To Initiate communication links with other schools in foreign countries
  • To audit the current curriculum and identify further opportunities to develop the Global Exchange
  • To plan for the school International development and coordinating items
  • To report to staff and governors as appropriate
  • To establish international exchange activities file volumes
  • To apply for the annual International School Award
  • To provide information about recent international work

 

国际交流合作项目负责人的职责是:强化本校、兄弟学校及本地社区的国际合作意识

主要通过以下途径去实现这一目标:

  • 组织本校的国际交流活动
  • 邀请外国友人来校访问
  • 与国外学校建立友好关系
  • 对现有的课程进行筛查,为国际交流寻找更多的结合点
